Three Palms Stables farm in Samsula, Florida

Our story

Where passion meets the pasture

Three Palms Stables is a family-run breeding program in Samsula, Florida, dedicated to raising exceptional miniature panda cattle with care, integrity, and a deep love for the land.

How it all began

Nestled among the palms of Volusia County, Three Palms Stables grew from a simple dream: to raise something rare, beautiful, and genuinely good-natured on a small piece of Florida land. When we first encountered miniature panda cattle — with their striking white faces, dark eye patches, and bold white belts — we were captivated. Not just by their looks, but by the calm temperament and the joy they brought to everyone who met them.

We immersed ourselves in the breed's history, tracing it back to Richard Gradwohl of Happy Mountain Farm in Covington, Washington, whose decades of careful crossbreeding produced the first Panda bull, Rebel, in 1998. That foundation of intentional, documented breeding is something we carry forward at Three Palms. Every animal in our herd is selected for health, correct miniature conformation, and disposition — and every calf leaves our farm with proper registration and a foundation of trust.

Today, Three Palms Stables is a registered breeding program committed to advancing the miniature panda cattle breed in Florida and beyond. We take pride in matching the right animal with the right family — whether you're a first-time homesteader or an experienced small-farm owner.

What makes panda cattle special

Classic markings

A mostly dark body, broad white belt, white face, and dark eye patches — the signature look that gives panda cattle their name. Individual animals vary, and we're transparent about each calf's pattern.

True miniature size

Our breeding stock is assessed at mature height (three years) per IMCBR standards. We target the Miniature classification (36–42") and document parent measurements so buyers know what to expect at adulthood.

Honest temperament

A panda coat pattern doesn't guarantee a gentle personality — we're upfront about that. We handle our calves from birth, socialize them with people, and evaluate each animal's individual behavior before it leaves our farm.

Registered pedigree

Registration, breed ancestry, size classification, and coat pattern are four different things. Every animal we sell comes with documented pedigree so you can verify all four — not just the photo.

What we stand for

Animal welfare first

Our cattle are raised with room to roam, proper nutrition, and regular veterinary care. Happy, healthy animals are the foundation of everything we do.

Honest breeding practices

We register every animal, maintain accurate pedigree records, and are transparent about each calf's background, health history, and temperament.

Sustainable small-farm living

Miniature cattle are a natural fit for small acreage. We believe in farming that works with the land, not against it — and we help our buyers do the same.

Community and education

We love sharing what we've learned. Whether you're buying your first calf or just curious about the breed, we're always happy to talk cattle.

Meet the herd

Our breeding stock is carefully selected from proven bloodlines with an emphasis on correct miniature size, classic panda markings, and gentle temperament. We maintain a small herd intentionally — so every animal gets the individual attention it deserves. Calves are handled from birth, socialized with people, and raised to be confident, friendly companions.
